The Chicago Golf Show: A Golfer’s Cure for the Polar Vortex
NFL Placekicker Robbie Gould to Appear on Stage
CHICAGO, Illinois (February 14, 2019) – The 36th annual Chicago Golf Show presented by French Lick Resort, February 22–24, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, will offer golfers a cure for their Cabin Fever, providing a chance to swing the newest clubs, take free lessons from PGA pros, and score great deals on clubs, balls, shoes, apparel and more.
In addition, NFL placekicker and golf lover Robbie Gould will be featured on the Daily Herald Main Stage at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Gould kicked for the Bears from 2005-15.
With more than 350 booths, a 3,000 square foot driving range, and a chance to putt at multiple interactive golf stations, it will feel like Spring for the more than 17,000 golfers that typically attend the event.
Every paid attendee is eligible to receive one free round of golf, courtesy of GolfVisions, whose 17 local courses include Foxford Hills, Settler’s Hill, and Lake Bluff Golf Course.
“We invite golfers to start the season on the right foot by joining us at this year’s Chicago Golf Show,” said Carrie Williams, executive director of the Illinois PGA. “The Illinois PGA is a longtime supporter and beneficiary of the Chicago Golf Show and our members provide complimentary lessons.”
In addition to great deals, attendees can discover dozens of golf travel destinations ready to help them plan their golf trips. Many will be raffling off fabulous weekend getaways. French Lick Resort is giving away a Golf Foursome vacation valued at $2,400, featuring two rooms for a two-night stay, plus rounds on the resort’s Donald Ross and Pete Dye courses.
Golfers who sink the 85-foot putt in the popular Chicago’s Longest Putt contest will win two tickets to this year’s BMW Championship. Those winners will be part of a drawing in which one lucky winner will receive two tickets to the tournament’s uber-exclusive Green Coat Club, valued at $1,590.
In addition to Gould, former Chicago Bears Patrick Mannelly and Emery Moorehead will be among the special guests on the Daily Herald Main Stage, which will be highlighted by trick shot artist Peter Longo, WGN-TV’S “King of Clubs.” 2018 Illinois PGA Teacher of the Year Mike Carbray, updates on rule changes, and information on how to become a caddie – and potentially earn a college scholarship – will be featured as well.
