Ken Martin, PGA Instructor at Keiser University College of Golf, shares six effective practice swings to help fix your slice. In this video, Ken explains that slices are caused by an open clubface, and these drills are designed to help you feel the clubface closing during your swing.
He starts by having you set up with your driver and pivot your trail foot away from the target, taking practice swings over the ball to encourage your forearms to cross over and close the face. After three swings in this position, Ken adjusts the setup with your trail foot behind your lead foot for three more swings, again focusing on forearm rotation.
Finally, Ken advises hitting the ball with the same intention of closing the clubface to produce a draw and correct your slice. Follow these drills for better control and ball flight!
