80 PGA Members Add General Manager Titles in Q2 2018
Positive Trend Continues as a Total of 181 PGA Members Earned GM Status in the First Half of the Year
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Aug. 23, 2018) – The PGA of America announced today that 80 PGA Members were either promoted, hired or declared as a General Manager (GM) at public, private and resort facilities nationwide during Q2 2018. With 101 additional GMs declared during the first quarter, a total of 181 PGA Members were classified as a General Manager during the first half of the year.
Ongoing training, education advancement and professional development are required for PGA Members to meet the needs of the golf industry. This enables them to be regarded as the highest qualified and most respected leaders in the industry, as well as deliver operational excellence at PGA facilities.

PGA Members earning GM positions further validates the PGA’s recent repositioning of its PGA Career Services Department, as the Association remains committed to ensuring that PGA Members and golf industry professionals are prepared and equipped to advance their career path to the highest level.
