Minneapolis, Minn  – The National Association of Left-Handed Golfers (NALG), an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting left-handed golfers through events, resources and community, has announced its 90th Annual Left-handed Golfers National Tournament Week.

Events kick off Wednesday, Sept. 23, and wrap up with the final day of the National Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 27. An early registration tournament fee discount is available through May 31.

This year’s Tournament Week will consist of five days of golf, culminating with the National Tournament, which will be a two-round event. Additionally, the Minnesota Left-Handers will run their state championship in parallel with the NALG National Tournament.

“All five days are meant to be a celebration of the southpaw game, specifically designed for left-handed players who play every stroke left-handed (from the ‘right’ side of the ball),” said Sid Miner, chairman of the National Association of Left-Handed Golfers. “We are thrilled to once again bring this community together for a week of camaraderie, friendly competition, and high-level golf on three beautiful courses in the Minneapolis, Minn area.”

The NALG National Tournament will be played Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27, at Keller Golf Course.

The early-bird National Tournament entry fee is $366 with a cart or $320 for walkers. This rate is available through June 1, after which the price will increase to $395 with an optional cart ($349 for walkers). The junior participant entry fee is $195.

Included in the National Tournament entry fee:

  • Green fees for two days
  • Range balls for two days
  • Commemorative tee gifts (shirt, hat, glove, challenge coin, etc.)
  • Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception Dinner
  • Closing Ceremony and Awards Luncheon
  • Prizes, closest-to-pin contests, division champion trophies and related awards

Preceding the NALG National Tournament will be three separate single-day Lefty Shootouts:

  • Loggers Trail Golf Club in Stillwater, Minn., on Wednesday, Sept. 23
  • Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis., on Thursday, Sept. 24
  • Keller Golf Course in Maplewood, Minn., on Friday, Sept. 25. This shootout will serve as a National Tournament practice round.

There are separate entry fees for each of the Lefty Shootouts prior to the National Tournament.

  • Lefty Shootout No. 1 – Wednesday at Loggers Trail: $110
  • Lefty Shootout No. 2 – Thursday at Troy Burne: $125
