THOUSAND OAKS, CA – The Southern California PGA is proud to announce the 99th Southern California PGA Section Championship, set to take place on Sept. 18-20 at the illustrious Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. This prestigious event promises to be a golfing spectacle, bringing together some of the most talented golf professionals from across the region in a bid for the coveted championship title.
Last year’s victor, Michael Block, will return to defend his title in what is shaping up to be a thrilling tournament. Block, a seasoned professional with an impressive track record, clinched victory in a dramatic fashion in the 98th edition of the championship. It’s been a special year for Block as the 2022 PGA Professional of the Year won the hearts of golf enthusiasts everywhere for his performance at the PGA Championship.
The 99th Southern California PGA Section Championship will also make history as it hosts the largest field ever in the championship’s long and storied history. With an influx of talented golf professionals vying for the top spot, the competition promises to be fierce and the stakes higher than ever before with the top 11 finishers qualifying for the 2024 PGA Professional Championship hosted in Frisco, Texas, at Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco.
