Accepting Entries to Virtual Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships
Calling all Junior Golfers! There is still time to enter the Virtual Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships, open to boys and girls ages 3 through 18!
Although the regular Little People’s scheduled June 22-24 in Quincy, IL, was cancelled because of COVID-19, the alternative Virtual event was established, which allows junior golfers to play two rounds on the course of their choice, and with whomever they wish to play, between June 18 and June 24. Entry fee $30.
“The Virtual Little People’s will give our players something to be excited about – an opportunity to compete against players from all over the country while playing on a course of their choice,” said Nan Ryan, Little People’s Tournament Director.
The AJGA will grant a Tournament Exemption to the winners of the boys and girls 16-18 divisions; the top three finishers in each division will receive an invitation for the 2020 Future Champions Golf National Championships, and all Division winners will receive an invitation to enter any one of 15 PLAY Junior Golf Tour events in Canada.
“We are sad that we won’t be seeing all our friends and new families in Quincy this year,” said Ryan, “but the safety of our players, families, volunteers and golf staffs is our number one priority.”
“Reception to the Virtual Little People’s has been good,” stated Ryan. “We have players registered from 16 States and Canada – many are first-time Pepsi Little People’s players.”
Play will be in 7 age divisions for boys and 7 for girls, with medals going to the winner and subsequent places in each division, with participant medals to non-medal winners for ages 3 through 9.
Each contestant will receive a Gift Certificate from Garb, a packet of Golfdotz, and contestant gifts from Little People’s. The winner of each division will also receive a $50 gift certificate from Garb, maker of high-quality junior golf apparel.
Because of the different venues that will be played, a formula has been established, using the USGA course handicap calculator, to equalize the playing field.

The Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships is an international junior golf competition for boys and girls ages 3 through 18. The 47th annual tournament was to have been played June 22-24 at Westview Golf Course and the KC Par-3 course in Quincy, Illinois USA, but has been cancelled and replaced with the Virtual event. Competition is held in seven age divisions for boys and seven age divisions for girls.
