NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR ACCESSIBLE GOLF ANNOUNCES ADAPTIVE GOLF HALL OF FAME

December 2, 2025

Charleston, SC:  The National Alliance for Accessible Golf  (Alliance) announces the establishment of the Adaptive Golf Hall of Fame to recognize individuals with a distinguished history of leading efforts to bring golfers with disabilities into the game of golf.

Entrance into the Adaptive Golf Hall of Fame will be based on “Service and commitment to the creation of pathways into the game of golf for individuals with disabilities.” This includes individuals, organizations and, of course, golfers who have gone above and beyond over an extended period of time to create opportunities for those with all abilities to access, learn, and play golf; the therapeutic, health and wellness value of which is well known.

The Adaptive Golf Hall of Fame will be web-based and accept nominations from around the world beginning January 1, 2026. The National Alliance, a leading golf industry education, advocacy and resource center, will serve as administrators of the Adaptive Golf Hall of Fame.

The nomination process will be open from January 1 to March 31, 2026, with inductee announcements occurring in June of each year, following a 60-day Selection Committee review process.

The Alliance appreciates the contributions from EDGA, the U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance, and the U.S. Disabled Golf Association in this initiative to recognize those who have paved the way and laid the foundation for entry into the game as well as those who continue to push access and inclusion in positive directions. Adaptive golf may feel like a new concept to some, but the push for greater access and inclusion for golfers with disabilities has a long and meaningful history.

Selection Committee members are being finalized and will represent organizations from the US and abroad serving a wide range of disabilities including those listed above and the following:

  • American Therapeutic Recreation Association
  • Els for Autism
  • First Tee
  • International Association of Golf Administrators
  • Japanese Disabled Golf Association
  • ParaGolf Canada
  • Scottish Rite for Children
  • Special Olympics North America
  • South African Disabled Golf Association
  • United States Blind Golf Association
  • United States Deaf Golf Association

A path to the future is to honor not only the past, but also those that continue to serve and inspire golfers of all abilities to be a part of the greatest game there is.

Visit Adaptive Golf Hall of Fame for more information and updates prior to January 1, 2026.
