ROCKLIN, CA — The Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) is excited to announce the opening of entries for the esteemed AGM 2024 Platinum Awards. These prestigious awards are designed to recognize the top 100 public, private, resort, and off-course golf shops worldwide that have demonstrated exceptional expertise and innovation in the industry.
“The AGM Platinum Awards honor the extraordinary efforts and achievements of golf retailers,” said Jennifer Morton, Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Golf Merchandisers. “Each year, the competition grows stronger, reflecting the increased passion and commitment within the golf industry.”
Now in its 12th year, the AGM Platinum Awards represents the evolution of a 38-year legacy, incorporating the heritage of the former Golf World 100 Best Golf Shops and the AGM Front Nine Awards. This long-standing tradition shines a spotlight on the most innovative and effective practices in golf retail worldwide, showcasing the evolution of excellence in the industry.
All entries, whether from AGM members or non-members, will be evaluated by an impartial panel of experts. The competition presents entrants with the opportunity to highlight their achievements in customer service, social media engagement, merchandising tactics, retail management strategies, and initiatives focused on cultivating customer relationships. Creative visual merchandising will also be a focus in the judging process.
The Platinum Awards honor the top 100 golf shops globally. From these elite establishments, the top 10 shops exhibiting exceptional performance across all categories will receive the “Best of the Best” designation. In addition, the prestigious Cashman Award for Visual Excellence, presented by Ardie Cashman and Kevin Cashman of Bearpath Golf and CC in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, will recognize one shop for its outstanding visual display.
“The Platinum Awards, the ‘Best of the Best’ designation, and the Cashman Award are all distinct acknowledgments of the remarkable talent within the golf retail industry,” said Jennifer Morton. “They each illuminate different aspects of excellence, setting new benchmarks for the industry.”
