ROCKLIN, CA — The Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) is proud to announce Samantha Spach, a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University, as the 2025 recipient of the Kimberly J. Clapp Memorial Scholarship, one of AGM’s most meaningful named awards. This scholarship honors the memory and legacy of Kimberly J. Clapp, a passionate advocate for education, inclusion, and lifelong learning.
Spach, who is majoring in Professional Golf Management and minoring in Marketing, most recently gained hands-on merchandising experience at a private golf club in Florida. That role deepened her aspirations to pursue a career in golf merchandising with a focus on women’s golf.
Reflecting on her role, Spach said, “Through merchandising, I’m not just offering products—I’m helping create an experience that makes women feel seen and understood.”
The Kimberly J. Clapp Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Kimberly Clapp’s unwavering commitment to the education of individuals with special needs and her belief in vocational training as a gateway to confidence, independence, and community contribution. Her life was a testament to advocacy, empathy, and service—both to her family and the wider community.
“I was pleased to learn that this year’s AGM Kimberly J. Clapp Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Samantha Spach,” said Lee Clapp, Kimberly’s husband. “Samantha’s work experience conjures the image of someone curious, dedicated, and driven—qualities Kim lived by. Her volunteer and charity involvement also mirrors Kim’s own passion for giving back. I’m confident Kim would be very happy about and for Samantha as this year’s recipient.”
This special scholarship is made possible through the generous support of the National Golf Buyers Association (NGBA) and the Clapp Family.
“It’s a true honor for NGBA to support this meaningful scholarship in memory of Kimberly Clapp,” said Joe Costa, Director of Operations at NGBA. “We believe deeply in the power of education, and we’re proud to support rising leaders like Samantha who are making a real impact in golf retail.”
AGM congratulates Samantha and extends deep appreciation to the Clapp Family and NGBA for their ongoing support of this inspiring initiative.

About the Association of Golf Merchandisers
The Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) is an international professional association consisting of about 850 buyer members and over 200 vendor partners all dedicated to strengthening the golf merchandising industry. These members, both the Merchandisers and the Vendor Partners, are among the best and most recognized in the golf industry.
The AGM’s goal is simple: ELEVATE RETAIL. ENHANCE RELATIONSHIPS. EDUCATE ALWAYS.
In short, we help make golf buyers better buyers by focusing our educational content on key metrics, visual merchandising, promotions, and buying strategies. We work to break down the barriers between vendor partners and golf retail buyers so that “both sides of the table” are more profitable.
