Longtime industry executive recognized for leadership, business growth, and contributions to golf
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Anne Broholm, CEO of AHEAD, has been named among the most influential women in golf by Golf Inc., which recognized her leadership, impact on the business of the game and the broader golf industry.
Broholm’s influence extends well beyond the success of any single company. Through her leadership at AHEAD, service to organizations across the golf industry, and commitment to developing people and opportunities, she has set an example for the next generation of women leaders.
For the past 14 years, since AHEAD’s acquisition by Sweden-based New Wave Group, Broholm has led the company through sustained growth and innovation. Under her direction, the New Bedford, Massachusetts-based headwear, apparel, and accessories company has expanded into new markets and geographies, broadened its product portfolio, and strengthened its standing as one of golf’s most respected brands. AHEAD was also recognized as one of the National Golf Foundation’s (NGF) Top 100 Businesses in Golf.
Today, AHEAD provides custom-branded merchandise to golf facilities and resorts, major championships and tournaments, corporate customers, and collegiate programs. Broholm also guided the acquisition of Tournament Solutions, expanding AHEAD’s tournament gifting and branded-merchandise capabilities while retaining Tournament Solutions as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary.
Broholm’s influence extends beyond AHEAD. She serves on the Board of Directors of the ANNIKA Foundation, which creates opportunities for junior golfers and supports the continued growth of women’s golf, and on the Board of Directors of the NGF. She is on the PGA of America’s Special Awards Committee and on the Board of Directors of Associated Industries of Massachusetts.
Her career spans more than three decades across golf, apparel, sales, marketing, and brand development. Before joining AHEAD, Broholm served as Global Director of Sales, Golf at Cutter & Buck and as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Imperial Headwear. Earlier in her career, she held roles at Liz Claiborne, Ocean Pacific, and O’Neill.
A Colorado native, Broholm earned a bachelor’s degree in merchandising from Colorado State University and an MBA in management and marketing from the University of Colorado, Denver. She has remained involved with Colorado State, including past service on its Alumni Board and Executive Leadership Council.
