AJGA announces partnership with Rapsodo
Data-driven sports technology and tools
BRASELTON, GA – The American Junior Golf Association welcomes the support of Rapsodo Inc. as a three-year partner. Rapsodo was founded in 2010 with a mission to help athletes reach their full potential by providing industry leading, data-driven sports technology and tools.
“We are excited to work with the AJGA and their members to showcase the Rapsodo Mobile Launch Monitor (MLM) at events around the country,” said Art Chou, General Manager at Rapsodo Inc. “This partnership will give us the chance to bring personalized performance metrics to the players and help them understand the data to improve their game.”
Rapsodo’s industry-leading technology has made a large impact on professional baseball – partnering with all 30 MLB teams. Now the company is bringing the same technology to golf.
The Rapsodo MLM provides professional accuracy for shot distance, ball speed, club speed, launch angle, launch direction and shot shape. This gives players a chance to analyze their performance, compare it with peers, and improve their game with video, shot tracer and ball flight metrics.
Rapsodo will become a tournament partner at 10 Junior-Am Fundraising tournaments per year. While on- site, Rapsodo will also set up promotional displays and have product giveaways on the golf course for participants to test the Rapsodo devices and get real-time stats on their golf game.
In addition, the AJGA and Rapsodo partnership offers a 20 percent discount accessible in the Player Center to AJGA members and their families to use toward the Rapsodo MLM.
“Rapsodo devices on-site at AJGA events will help take our Junior-Am Fundraising tournaments to the next level,” said AJGA Chief Business Officer Jason Etzen. “Being able to offer this kind of analysis and feedback to our members and supporters will be a great benefit.”
