AM GOLF Names Kevin Carpenter U.S. Managing Director in Push Beyond Europe Ascendency

SARASOTA, Fla. – AM GOLF has named industry veteran Kevin Carpenter as U.S. Managing Director to expand beyond the golf technology company’s dominance in Europe.

Kevin Carpenter

Overseeing operations from Sarasota, Fla., Carpenter leads a team focused on growing usage of AM GOLF’s one-stop, all-inclusive app for golfers, and affordable, robust management software for golf courses and clubs, and other golf businesses.  Each product is surgically designed to effortlessly manage all aspects of professional and personal golf lives.

A 25-year golf industry veteran in the golf technology space, Carpenter will leverage his extensive relationships with golf property owners and operators, and other industry leaders, to get AM GOLF’s differentiated solutions in their hands and those of golfers they serve.

The lineup of offerings:

  • Golfers – A single-destination app that manages players’ official handicaps; books tee times; accesses and registers them for newfound golf tournaments near and wide; communicates with golf buddies and initiates friendships with like-minded golfers; catalogs and tracks skills improvements, scores and wages; buys and sells golf merchandise; and so much more.
  • Golf Course and Club Operators – Management software that economically and simply powers their businesses intuitively and robustly and without unnecessary bells and whistles of larger providers, squarely fitting foundational needs without requiring toggling between screens due to countless integrations and plug-ins.
  • Golf Organizations – Simple, in-app tools which manage small to large golf association, federation, tour and similar governing body membership programs, including official handicaps and events, geared to build communities among their members, partners and related constituencies.
  • Other Golf Businesses – A user base of high-avidity, obsessed golfers allows golf product manufacturers and service providers, including golf travel companies, to highlight and sell their offerings in-app.

“Golfers and golf business leaders need streamlined ways to do more with less resources expended,” said Carpenter.  “This is where AM GOLF technology and practicality shine, simplifying what unfortunately becomes complex way too often.”

Popular across 17 European countries, AM GOLF serves 27,000 active users, 35,000 events and 270,000 recorded rounds.  Carpenter estimates AM GOLF’s user base is well on its way to one million in 2027.  The company is the official supplier of World Handicap System for 14 national golf associations.

AM GOLF solves nagging problems and annoyances:

  • Golfers – The average player has more than 20 golf apps on his or her phone, most serving only a single function or two containing only partial information desired, thus taking 30 minutes versus 30 seconds to research desired info if even achieved.
  • Golf Course and Club Operators – The average operation uses six different / siloed, outdated, inactionable platforms to manage its business, bloating its infrastructure from the imposition of maneuvering from screen to screen and manually input data, while paying for functions they don’t use.
  • Golf Organizations – The average membership group is challenged by staying in touch with members 24-7-365 in a meaningful way because there isn’t a single app in the marketplace that broadly tracks and informs all that’s important to golfers.
  • Other Golf Businesses – The average new, emerging and even established golf product manufacturer and service provider is forced to drain their already insufficient resources by integrating with too many apps, most containing only occasional golfers and consumers.

Additionally, AM GOLF is an in-demand, outsourced resource for golf companies that don’t have the bandwidth or team to build tech components crucial to their golfer offerings and operating proficiency.

Carpenter held senior leadership positions with GPS Industries and Club Car, where he advised golf course owner-operators how to incorporate technology to enhance golfers’ experiences.  He also founded Grateful for Golf, a non-profit that leverages the disciplines of golf to improve lives of at-risk youth.

About AM GOLF

The world’s first, new and only one-stop, all-inclusive app for golf, AM GOLF is trusted in 17 countries across Europe and recently launched in the U.S. and Canada.  Golfers are also smitten by a long list of features within the single destination AM GOLF app.  Golf course and club operators covet AM GOLF’s management software for its fundamental business tools which economically and power their business with little effort and without unnecessary bells and whistles.  Golf organizations from small to large use AM GOLF’s simple, in-app functionality to manage their membership programs, including official handicaps and events, and build communities among their members.  Other golf businesses find AM GOLF’s app to be a prudent way to promote their offerings to high-avidity golfers with daily obsessions for the AM GOLF app. For more information, email media@am.golf.
