(SARASOTA, Fla.) – AM GOLF has named Tim Keller as Director of Partnerships, the latest PGA Professional to join the technology company that recently launched in the U.S. following years of immense popularity in Europe.
Keller is helping golf course, country club and resort owners and operators, as well as tournament directors, determine and crisply execute best management practices with the AM GOLF platform powering their businesses and events.
Also serving golf associations, federations, tours and similar governing bodies, Keller is expert in AM GOLF software efficiently, intuitively and in one place managing membership programs, official handicaps, tournaments and other functions. AM GOLF is built on the premise of anchoring golf businesses to foster active communities among their members, partners and related constituencies with no more time-consuming toggling between multiple screens.
Keller enjoys nearly 20 years as a PGA Professional, including five as a key member of the award-winning Hermitage Golf Course outside Nashville, Tenn. Following a green-grass business development role at Nike, Keller spent a decade at Club Car interfacing with golf course operators about their cart fleets and related technologies.
“I’ve been in their shoes and know what separates great golf course and event management technology from those which are ample,” said Keller, a well-respected business analyst in golf circles. “Upon being introduced to AM GOLF’s specialness simplifying and making lives of course managers and golfers much easier, I immediately realized that joining the company would help others realize there’s better and more affordable operations management technology at their fingertips.”
“As someone who worked in the trenches at golf courses and on the supplier side, Tim understands and empathizes with daily annoyances and successes,” said Kevin Caprenter, U.S. General Manager of AM GOLF. “He is all about streamlining processes through reliability of the AM GOLF platform, so those running golf businesses and tournaments can unilaterally focus on other duties without worry about their back-end systems.”
Of late, AM GOLF has specifically received universal praise for its tournament module. Simplifying complex operations for staff while delivering more modern player experiences, AM GOLF’s super-easy registration, live scoring and leaderboards, communication and golfer-creation side games reduce administrative burden without limiting flexibility.
AM GOLF is also well known for its built-in AI agent that helps operators set up events on each player’s behalf with a simple voice command, making event creation faster, easier and less dependent on manual staff input.
Golfers also have more control over their own experiences: they set up and manage their own private games and side competitions without relying on golf shop staff for every request or adjustment. That means fewer interruptions for the operators, and less pre- and event-day friction.
Furthermore, golfers use the AM GOLF app to manage their official handicaps; book tee times; access and register for newfound golf tournaments near and wide; communicate with golf buddies and initiate friendships with like-minded players; catalog and track skills improvements, scores and wages; buy and sell golf merchandise; and much more. No longer do they have to access multiple apps when AM GOLF houses all their information in one location.
