Nashville, Tenn. – Storied Development, in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital, is excited to share progress on Firefly, a 700+ acre luxury golf and residential community taking shape in Spring Hill, Tennessee, just 30 miles south of Nashville. Following the official groundbreaking in December 2024, construction is now well underway on Firefly’s centerpiece: an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole short course, both designed by acclaimed golf course architect Andrew Green, the first original design of his award-winning career.
Green is renowned for his masterful restorations of historic courses, including Scioto, Congressional, Inverness, Oak Hill, East Lake, and notably, Interlachen Country Club. His restoration of Interlachen not only reclaimed the original Donald Ross design but also recently earned ‘Best Renovation’ honors from Golf Digest in 2025.
Green’s inaugural design at Firefly will bring his visionary approach to a new course from the ground up. The courses are slated for completion at the end of 2025, and member play is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2026.
“Designing Firefly has been an extraordinary opportunity to create something truly unique, inspired by the natural beauty and dynamic topography of Middle Tennessee,” said Andrew Green. “This land offers a remarkable canvas, with its rolling hills, diverse terrain, and sweeping vistas, allowing us to craft a course that is both visually stunning and strategically engaging. Our goal is to design a layout that challenges and excites players of all skill levels while seamlessly integrating with the landscape. For members and guests, Firefly will not only be a world-class golfing experience, but a journey through a setting that will captivate players. The potential here is as limitless as the views, and I’m honored to be part of bringing this vision to life.”
Beyond exceptional golf, Firefly will offer a wealth of luxury amenities designed to cater to residents of all ages. The community will feature a full-service clubhouse, fitness center, family club, adult and children’s pools, a bowling alley, golf simulators, and a racquet club with tennis and indoor pickleball courts. These facilities aim to provide a comprehensive lifestyle experience within the serene Tennessee countryside.
Initial real estate offerings are expected to begin in the spring of 2025. Homesites will range from $500,000 to $1.5 million, and homes are anticipated to start at $2.5 million, with construction commencing in mid-2026.
Sixty supporters have already acquired coveted Founder Memberships, which include priority position for the selection of homesites. Encore Memberships, representing the next tier of supporters who will enjoy exceptional choices and privileges of being among the first in the community, were recently launched in early 2025.
“Firefly will be the premier club community in the Nashville area,” said Mark Enderle, Storied partner. “The amenities are designed to give everyone in the family an activity and a level of service they will love, and the golf is destined to receive national acclaim.”
