Dallas, Texas– New for 2024, the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour is excited to announce the ANNIKA WAPT 59 Club, an exclusive group of supporters committed to providing opportunities and advancement in women’s golf.
The mission of the 59 Club is to reduce costs for the ANNIKA WAPT athletes by supplementing entry fees and purses at ANNIKA WAPT tournaments. Additionally, the ANNIKA Foundation will use a portion of the funds to further its initiatives in all levels of the women’s game.
“In addition to providing more opportunities for advancement in women’s golf, we have a goal at the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour to make it more affordable for our athletes to compete,” says Gary DeSerrano, Founder of the ANNIKA WAPT. “The 59 Club is a terrific way to connect our fans and engage them in our mission to help these young athletes chase their dreams. And Annika has graciously offered a fun golf day for two lucky club members at Lake Nona.”
In 2001, Annika made history when she became the first woman to shoot 59 in an LPGA event. That round inspired thousands of golfers, men and women alike, to watch women’s golf.
Thus, the 59 Club, named in honor of this amazing accomplishment, will be limited to just 59 members who will be recognized as the pillar of the 2024 ANNIKA WAPT season.
For their $2,500 donation, each 59 Club member will also receive some elite gifts and perks, including special savings on pro-am packages at most ANNIKA WAPT events, exclusive access to a Callaway VIP account for one year, a dozen special edition chrome soft golf balls marked with “Annika 59”; an official ‘59 Club’ flag signed by Annika; and more. Members will also be recognized on the Tour’s website and the #1 Tee Box Backer Board at the season-ending Tour Championship in Wichita, KS.
Additionally, each 59 Club member will receive one entry into the “Play With Annika” Sweepstakes, where two lucky 59 Club Members will be chosen to win an all-expenses paid trip to Orlando in October to play with Annika herself at the renowned Lake Nona Golf and Country Club this October.
“We are delighted to launch the 59 Club in partnership with the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour. The support from this membership will not only help to advance these talented professional’s careers, but it will also help grow the women’s game, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do at the ANNIKA Foundation,” said Annika.
Memberships to the exclusive 59 Club are available now. To learn more or sign up, visit wapt.golf today.
About the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour
The ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) was established in 2019 to provide a premier developmental opportunity for female golf professionals to hone their competitive skills while preparing for a life on the Epson and LPGA Tours. Through its partnership with the LPGA’s Epson Tour, the WAPT provides weekly opportunities for players to earn exemptions to select Epson Tour events. About the ANNIKA Foundation
Annika created the ANNIKA Foundation (www.annika foundation.org) to develop and empower the next generation of women around the world through the game of golf. More specifically, it provides opportunities in women’s golf at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels while teaching young people the importance of personal development, including living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition.
The ANNIKA Foundation annually conducts several “Share My Passion” grassroots clinics designed to introduce kids to the game. It also conducts six major golf events for aspiring junior girls: the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex in the U.S.; ANNIKA Invitational Asia; ANNIKA Invitational Europe and ANNIKA Cup in Sweden; the Women’s Amateur Latin America with The R&A is in Argentina, and the ANNIKA Invitational Australasia is in New Zealand. Since 2014, the Foundation has annually hosted the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, presented by 3M, a women’s college tournament featuring 12 top Division I schools. Moreover, with the support of the Haskins Foundation, the Foundation created the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel, which is given annually to the best collegiate female golfer. In 2022, the ANNIKA Development Program was created to support recent college graduates pursuing their dreams of playing professional golf. The Foundation will also be the main beneficiary of The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, a new tournament tradition that will begin on the LPGA Tour November 6-12, 2023.
