Anthem Golf and Country Club, The Manor Golf & Country Club first two clubs chosen for honor
Dallas – Invited, the worldwide leader in private clubs and formerly known as ClubCorp, is pleased to announce that Anthem Golf and Country Club in Phoenix, Ariz., and The Manor Golf & Country Club in Atlanta have both been named to the prestigious list of Distinguished Clubs of America. The honor positions both clubs in the top four percent nationally by being granted Exceptional Status.
A committee composed of current general managers of existing Distinguished Clubs officially nominates clubs for consideration in the designation program. From there, a tenured and credentialed survey professional surveys the club in person, and the club earns a net promoter score and Distinguished Clubs Member Experience Score that assigns their designation.
The process takes several months, featuring site visits, interviews and various surveys. By earning Distinguished Clubs status, Anthem and The Manor are now featured on the same list as such prestigious private clubs like Augusta National Golf Club, Cypress Point Club, Los Angeles Country Club, Medinah Country Club, Oakmont Country Club and more
“Being featured on the prestigious Distinguished Clubs of America list is a testament to our commitment to providing an unrivaled, unparalleled membership experience across all of our clubs, and I’m immensely proud of the work done by the talented teams at Anthem and The Manor,” said David Pillsbury, CEO of Invited. “These two clubs are gems in our remarkable portfolio of properties, as they have long sought to provide championship-level golf and racquet sports, premium dining and a diverse array of social offerings for its members.
“To see their work rewarded by being included on this list with some of the most acclaimed private membership clubs in the country is incredibly gratifying, and it reinforces the work we’re doing across our portfolio of properties to raise the bar in terms of facilities, services and experience for all our members.”
Anthem features 36 championship holes of golf with two full-service practice ranges nestled in the high Sonoran desert foothills. It also has eight post-tension hard tennis courts across its Persimmon Club and Ironwood Club facilities, as well as four pickleball courts and three Bocce courts. The club’s dining offerings include Barrel House, a pub-style dining option, as well as the Persimmon Club Bar & Grille featuring an elevated culinary experience for its members.
The golf course at The Manor was designed by the legendary Tom Watson, presenting an authentic challenge for players of all skill levels, while 16 tennis courts provide a bounty of racquet sports opportunities for its members. Its culinary offerings, The Cellar and Dressage, are led by acclaimed executive chef Russell Sleight and regarded as among the best in Atlanta.
