In 2022, the 18th hole at TPC Twin Cities played as the most difficult par 5 all season on the PGA TOUR. An enormous reason why is the difficult tee shot, which statistically is the most important on the golf course. When players make birdie or eagle here, 27 percent of their strokes gained against the field have come from the drive. That’s more than twice as significant as the rest of the par 4s and 5s here (12 percent). Missing the fairway here carries an average penalty of 0.61 strokes, the highest number on the course.
At the end of the regular season, the most consistent player across each tour, with the lowest average score under par, on the Aon Risk Reward challenge holes captures the $1 million prize.

One hole is selected at each tournament as the designated Aon Risk Reward Challenge hole for the week (hole is strategically challenging in nature) For every participating event, a player’s best two scores on the designated hole
counts towards the season-long leaderboard The player with lowest average score under par across the regular season wins the Aon Risk Reward Challenge
