The Aon Risk Reward Challenge Returns
As the LPGA Tour kicks off their 2023 season, we are excited to bring the Aon Risk Reward Challenge back for another year, spanning across thirty events throughout the upcoming LPGA Tour schedule. As the ladies complete their early season Asian swing, we are excited to bring a drone vignette to this week’s broadcast, highlighting the decisions players face on
this week’s Aon Risk Reward Challenge hole.
During last week’s event, American Lilia Vu overcame a six-shot deficit in the final round to secure her first LPGA Tour victory. Lilia’s final round included her final birdie of the day on the Aon Risk Reward Challenge hole (par-4, 15th), in which she decided to go for the green with her tee shot. While barely missing the putting surface, her execution put her in the best position for an up-and-down birdie.

Aon Insight
The 13th at Sentosa GC is one of two par 5s on the back nine. On the tee shot, power is rewarded far more than accuracy here: the 63% of the field who found the short grass off the tee in 2022 gained almost zero strokes on the players who missed. Meanwhile, an extra 25 yards off the tee was worth one-tenth of a stroke on the field. Last year’s champion, Jin Young Ko, played the hole in 3-under last year on her way to victory.
At the end of the regular season, the most consistent player across each tour, with the lowest average score under par, on the Aon Risk Reward Challenge holes captures the $1 million prize.
Aon is committed to a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive, ensuring delivery of the best innovative solutions for clients. As such, providing equal prize money to both the PGA and LPGA Tours aligns with Aon’s core values and brand.
