Turner comes to the APGA with vast experience in athletics, leadership and purpose-driven fundraising, bringing a relationship-driven approach to advancing the APGA’s mission of creating greater access and opportunity in golf
LOS ANGELES – The Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA), a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf, announced today that Jarrad Turner, an industry veteran with vast experience in athletics, leadership and purpose-driven fundraising, has been hired as the organization’s Director of Development.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jarrad to our team and eager to add his expertise to the APGA as we continue to build toward the future,” said Ken Bentley, the APGA’s Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board. “Our mission is to serve our players who are striving to make the most of their skills on the golf course and to grow the game through the work that the APGA Foundation does with junior golfers. To support those goals, we need the strongest team possible working to foster relationships and develop opportunities, and Jarrad will play an integral role in achieving those objectives.”
Turner brings a relationship-driven approach to advancing the APGA’s mission of creating greater access and opportunity in golf. He is focused on building meaningful partnerships that support the next generation of players and continue to grow the game in a more inclusive way.
The APGA was founded in 2010 by Bentley and Adrian Stills to identify and develop underrepresented golfers and expand their access to the game by providing a professional pathway.
“I am excited to join the APGA and to build on the incredible foundation that has been set by Ken Bentley and Adrian Stills over the last 16 years,” Turner said. “The game of golf is growing in so many exciting ways, and along with that growth, new doors are opening every day for an organization like the APGA. I am eager to lean into my experience in fundraising and athletics to help bring the APGA to new heights.”
Turner joins the APGA from the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where he served as a Capital Campaign Gift Officer, contributing to one of the organization’s most ambitious fundraising initiatives. In this capacity, he cultivated vital partnerships and secured support to broaden educational opportunities for students nationwide. His efforts focused on aligning donor vision with sustainable institutional impact.
Over the course of his career, Turner has excelled in advancement and leadership roles across collegiate athletics, including tenures at the College of William & Mary, Michigan State University, Niagara University and Campbell University. He is known for forging connections that create meaningful opportunities, driving program growth through strategic philanthropy, enhancing alumni engagement and paving the way for student-athletes to thrive both on and off the field. These experiences have deepened his appreciation for the transformative power of sports in shaping lives.
A former wrestler at Penn State University, Turner developed the discipline and resilience that come with competing at a high level. Those lessons continue to shape how he approaches his work and builds relationships.
The APGA Tour’s fourth event of the 2026 season is the APGA Daughtery Foundation Championship, scheduled for May 11-14 at Glen Echo Country Club in St. Louis. The season runs through November with 12 tournaments from coast to coast.
