Dallas, Texas – The All Pro Tour (APT), a professional golf tour serving as a path to the PGA TOUR, will be heading to Brownwood, Texas for The Central Texas Shootout. The 4-day tournament will feature a field of PGA TOUR-bound hopefuls competing at the beautiful Brownwood Country Club.
“The Central Texas Shootout is a very unique event,” said Gary DeSerrano, president of the All Pro Tour. “The course yields a lot of birdies, making no lead safe. But it’s the Texas hospitality that sets this event apart from our traditional tournament. Off the course, the fishing is second to none. If you like skeet shooting, the Brownwood Claybird Club, which is right on property, provides an elite skeet shooting experience. It’s truly an exciting week on and off the course.”
The tournament is scheduled for April 20-April 23, 2022. The week will include practice rounds, a pro-am (proceeds will benefit the Hendrick Medical Center) and a 72-hole championship concluding on Saturday, April 22nd. The purse is expected to be $130,000 with the tournament champion taking home an estimated $25,000.
Admission is free for practice rounds and tournament-play spectatorship. To participate in the pro-am tournament, become a sponsor, or to volunteer, please contact Mark England at Marke@brownwoodcountryclub.com.
