On-Course Data to Fuel TXG Custom Club Fitting Process, TXG Founder & CEO Ian Fraser Named Arccos Ambassador
STAMFORD, Conn., – Arccos – the pioneer of big data and Artificial Intelligence for golf – today announced an expansion of its partnership with Tour Experience Golf (TXG) that will see Arccos on-course performance data fully integrated into TXG custom club fittings, with TXG Founder & CEO Ian Fraser also becoming an Arccos Ambassador.
As part of this program, all TXG clients will have the opportunity to receive a free set of Arccos Smart Sensors and a free trial membership to the award-winning Arccos Caddie platform. Throughout fittings at TXG’s leading-edge studios, Arccos data – including the newly-released Strokes Gained by Club analysis – will serve as a key reference point alongside data captured by Foresight GCQuad launch monitors.
“My relationship with Arccos started a few years ago as a user of their system,” said Fraser. “Even as someone who is on the launch monitor nearly every day, Arccos has dramatically improved my understanding of my own game, and the same is true for my entire staff of fitters. We’re thrilled to now provide all our clients with the opportunity to realize the same benefits, and to extend the power of on-course data into TXG fittings at even greater scale.”
Golf’s first Artificial Intelligence platform, Arccos Caddie automatically tracks your shots while delivering in-round insights and personalized Strokes Gained analytics for every game facet and each club in your bag. The system is highlighted by an A.I.-powered rangefinder, smart club distances and caddie advice for every golf hole on earth. These innovations helped new Arccos Caddie members who played at least 10 rounds lower their handicap index by an average of 5.78 strokes in 2021.
“Ian is a visionary who’s widely respected in North America and overseas for the quality of his work and the incredibly compelling content he and his team create,” said Sal Syed, Arccos CEO and Co-Founder. “We have a shared vision that Arccos’ massive on-course dataset is the key to unlocking new levels of insight that will power even more precise fittings and personalized client engagement before and after studio sessions.”
Arccos members have recorded more than 10 million rounds and 500 million shots while playing courses in 194 countries. This feeds the world’s largest on-course dataset, now including over 35 billion separate data points, which powers Arccos’ industry-leading Strokes Gained engine that allows a player to select their personal handicap goal, then benchmarks their performance versus that target.
The company’s recent releases include a groundbreaking golf ball data capture system. This represents the initial step in Arccos’ process of analyzing how a player’s ball selection may impact every aspect of their game, from equipment choices to club selection and in-play strategy.
The Arccos Caddie system and the Arccos Caddie Link wearable are permitted under the Rules of Golf (USGA Decision Numbers 2018-0414 and 2020-0305).
