APGS 2022 – GLORIOUS GRASS!

Calling all serious stakeholders in golf – if you are a golf course owner, a golf club general manager or a golf course agronomist, you don’t want to miss this.

All delegates to the 2022 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS 2022) to be staged in Vietnam in November will be treated to a turf farm tour courtesy of the largest turf farm in Asia – Sustainable Turf Farms.

The Tour will entail inspections of carefully selected Zoysia and Bermuda Varieties tested and suitable for South East Asia spread out over 160,000 square metres.

Southeast Asia’s bestselling turf variety is Zeon Zoysia. This variety is in abundance at the Farm and grown at Hoiana Shores Golf Club which is the host club of APGS 2022.

Delegates will also get an up-close look at other varieties commonly used for greens in Southeast Asia which includes the new Primo and Trinity Zoysia grasses. There will also be new varieties on display at different stages of testing that have yet to be brought into production.

Sustainable Turf Farms has studied various Zoysia grasses over a period of 10 years before hand selecting the best varieties most suited to the Asian Climate.

These grasses are low input varieties that require up to 50% less water, mowing and fertilizer applications, and up to 90% less Insecticide, Fungicide and Herbicide applications.

Each of Sustainable Turf Farms, located in Thailand and Vietnam, are ITGAP (International Turf-Grass Assurance Programme) Certified. This programme ensures all farms are maintained to a certain level of quality, guaranteeing the buyer gets what he pays for. Each farm is inspected annually by an Authorized ITGAP Inspector and inspections are also done by the Breeder, Bladerunner Farms.

All delegates will be bused to the farm and after site demonstrations are completed, Sustainable Turf Farms will host a BBQ and PUB lunch – and you can count on this being a real treat!
