Eye On Asia – Goodbye India! Hello China!
Another year is set to end and 2019 was a good year especially for Asian golf. It was especially so for ASIAN GOLF, the magazine and its stellar ASIA PACIFIC GOLF SUMMIT (APGS).
The 13th edition of this world-renowned knowledge summit on golf was held very successfully in India at the multi-award winning DLF Golf and Country Club in the imposing cyber city of Gurugram.
India marked the end of an era for APGS – history will record that this event will go down as the best event of its kind staged in the Asia Pacific if not the world!
APGS 2019 served as the launch-pad for an even bigger event which was announced at the Indian Summit. The new event the WORLD GOLF EXPO (WGE), a major collaboration between the giant Mission Hills Group of China and the ASIA PACIFIC GOLF GROUP, the owner and producer of APGS.
The new event, which is expected to be the biggest of its kind in the world will be hosted at the sprawling Mission Hills Golf Resort in the exotic tropical resort of Haikou in Hainan, China.
This venue will be the permanent home for WGE, and full details of this new mammoth industry event will be announced in late December, 2019.
WGE will be the engine that will drive the development and growth of golf going forward and it will play a major role in bringing the Asia Pacific region into the forefront of world golf.
Coinciding with the launch of the WGE, this edition of ASIAN GOLF also places the spotlight on a new emerging force in golf – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This desert nation has pushed itself into the forefront of world golf by presenting a billion-dollar plan to become golf’s new frontier.
