Best Product at the PGA Show: Athalonz Golf Shoes

Every booth pitched a golf miracle, but Athalonz delivered.

I was told that if you walk every aisle of the PGA Show, you’ll cover 10 miles. I didn’t measure, but my feet tell me it’s true. During my trek, I came across every new golf gadget, widget, training aid, club and shoe imaginable, but one product really stood out. Athalonz calls its new golf shoe the EnVe, and the moniker is justified. Golf icon Bernhard Langer was at the (incredibly crowded) Athalonz booth and he’s really, truly in love with this shoe. Bernhard said he experimented with several shoes, hitting with one pair before trying the next and every time Athalonz came up a winner. “I get better contact when wearing them, every time”, said Langer. “They’re incredibly stable and comfortable.”

I asked Tim Markison, who created the technology behind the shoe, what made them different. He told me it’s the only shoe that has a patented midsole that will automatically put the player in a more powerful, more stable position. Time after time, skeptics took a pair over to a simulator and came back shaking their heads in disbelief. “I don’t know how you guys did it, but I’m getting 10 mph more on every swing” was a phrase heard time and time again. Simple, undeniable physics in a comfortable, great-looking package makes the Athalonz EnVe a winner and easily the best of show for 2020.
