John’s Creek, Ga. – The Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) has named Karen Raisch-Siegel as Director of Athletics.
Originally from Florida, Raisch-Siegel has spent the past 24 years in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, where she successfully managed a large fitness center associated with the Southwest General Health Center. Her 20 years of experience as Executive Director of the 85,000 square-foot fitness center, she oversaw 65 team members and over 5,300 members. Her responsibilities included managing all aspects of business operations, including budgets, fitness and wellness programing, member and team member retention, branding, as well as fitness and aquatic facility maintenance.
Her impressive qualifications include a B.S. degree in Advertising and Business Administration from the University of Florida, as well as an M.S. degree in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness from the University of Akron. Additionally, she holds various fitness certifications and has contributed significantly to the Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce as a board member and president over the last decade. Her primary objective is to “facilitate exceptional member experiences that promote a healthy lifestyle and culture within our club.”
Raisch-Siegel will also oversee the Aquatic Center that includes zero entry and Olympic size pools, with two water slides, high and low diving boards.
The Club’s athletic facilities include a 42,000 square foot fitness center that features state-of-the-art equipment, exceptional personal training and over 90 classes per month.
Youth programs, a golf-specific training program, nutritionist, childcare, a pro shop, lounges, and a health bar are part of the overall fitness offerings. The Retreat Spa offers services including manicures and pedicures, facials, massages, wraps, microdermabrasion, and laser treatments.
Every year since 1997, Atlanta Athletic Club has earned the Platinum Club’s award for Best Athletic Club in the United States.

Atlanta Athletic Club was founded in 1898 and opened a country club at its East Lake property in 1904 and an 18 hole golf course in 1907, as a complement to its downtown Atlanta facilities.
