Naples, Florida – Audubon Country Club in Naples, Fla. has been honored by Golf Inc. magazine with a 2021 Golden Fork award. Audubon’s Courtside Café placed third in the New Private Club category in the publication’s annual Golden Fork competition. Golf Inc., the world’s only magazine for golf course developers, owners and management company executives, annually recognizes the best new amenities and golf industry’s top dining facilities (Golden Fork Awards) at public and private golf clubs in its February/March issue.
In the summer of 2020, Audubon Country Club unveiled its new 19,000 square-foot Lifestyle Center. The two-story Lifestyle Center provides members with a new casual indoor/outdoor dining experience at the Courtside Café while also modernizing and expanding the club’s fitness and tennis offerings. The Courtside Café features an indoor/outdoor bar, display kitchen, poolside dining, and increased outdoor lounging areas with cozy fire pit tables. Executive Chef Richard Nielsen, CEC, PCIII, oversees the culinary experience which features a menu that will enhance a healthy lifestyle.
Golf Inc. recognized 19 honorees this year, 11 in the Golden Fork categories for best new and renovated dining facilities, and eight in three amenity categories.
Audubon’s new fitness center, located on the Lifestyle Center’s second floor, features a state-of-the-art weight studio and cardio room, two exercise rooms for fitness classes, a massage lounge, two treatment rooms, and men’s and ladies’ day use locker rooms. The second-floor balcony can be used for outdoor fitness classes such as tai chi and yoga or to accommodate seating for social gatherings.
