NEW YORK – Audubon International continues to broaden its expertise and reach as a leader in environmental guidance and certification with the introduction of two new member engagement offerings – a phone-based Golf Tech Hotline and a monthly Field Notes e-newsletter.
Now live, the Golf Tech Hotline (518.874.4677) gives the organization’s members access to eco-friendly best practices advice and direction from golf course superintendents who lead Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for Golf-certified courses. With every call they receive answers to questions covering areas of operational sustainability, including:
- Environmental planning
- Wildlife and habitat management
- Water conservation and quality management
- Waste and procurement
- Chemical use reduction and safety
- Outreach and education
“Our new Golf Tech Hotline puts members in direct contact with industry-leading superintendents who talk them through operations and maintenance issues they encounter daily,” said Ken Benoit, CEO of Audubon International. “It’s a true value-add service that helps every caller keep his or her sustainability program moving forward with clarity and confidence.”
Introduced in October and distributed to Audubon International golf course, country club, resort and community members, as well as corporate supporters, in a comprehensive yet quick-read format, Field Notes delivers the latest news about Audubon International certification programs, initiatives, events, member milestones and spotlights, “From the Expert” tips, and more.
“Field Notes keeps our members and partners informed of everything going on at Audubon International while respecting their busy schedules,” said Benoit. “It’s in their inboxes and ready to read when they are.”
