Court Three: Where the Standard Becomes Real – Brett Mucheck

Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2026

Time: 4:00 PM EST / 1:00 PM PST

Presenter: Brett Mucheck, General Manager at The Hills Club

Description: The best member experiences are not created when everything goes according to plan. They are created in the moments when it does not. Court Three is the space between the polished shop floor and the systems behind it, the delayed special order, the frustrated guest, the overwhelmed teammate, the member who needs more than the policy can answer. This session will challenge golf retail professionals to see those moments differently, not as interruptions, but as opportunities to build trust, loyalty, and a culture people can feel. Brett Mucheck will share practical, immediately usable tools for creating stronger interactions, owning the next step, recovering when things go wrong, and making sure no member or guest feels lost inside a problem. Because the standard is not proven when the day is easy. It becomes real in Court Three.

Key Takeaways:

  • Recognize the everyday moments where service, culture, and leadership are actually decided
  • Ask better questions and hear what is underneath the initial request
  • Move from task ownership to experience ownership
  • Use policies with judgment instead of hiding behind them
  • Create clarity when something goes wrong by communicating what happened, what happens next, and who owns it
  • Build stronger habits around follow-through, recovery, recognition, and accountability
