Oklahoma City-based Golf USA Inc. has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as the "Top Golf Franchisor" for 2007. It is the third time in the last five years that the company has been awarded the honor by the magazine. … Thomson Perrett & Lobb golf architecture firm has been appointed by HOK to create a championship golf course at Al Ain Emarat in the United Arab Emirates. … The Roger Rulewich Group oversees renovations at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury, Conn., and Silver Spring Country Club in Ridgefield, Conn. At Ridgewood CC, the renovations included all the green surrounds being reworked from the green out. The green complex at the 15th hole was expanded and rebuilt; the greens on the third, fourth, fifth, 13th and 16th holes were enlarged; and new back tees were added at the second and third holes. The initial phase of this comprehensive renovation master plan was completed in 2006.
