2023 American Century Championship Has Most-Watched Final Round in Nearly 20 Years
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 19, 2023 – PGA TOUR’s Barracuda Championship from Tahoe Mountain Club in Truckee, Calif., and LPGA Tour’s Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational from Midland Country Club in Midland, Mich., are presented live this week across Peacock and GOLF Channel.
PGA TOUR: BARRACUDA CHAMPIONSHIP
The PGA TOUR travels to Tahoe Mountain Club (Old Greenwood Course) in Truckee, Calif., for the Barracuda Championship this week. As it has since 2012, a modified Stableford scoring system will be used for this tournament. As part of the strategic alliance between the PGA TOUR and the DP World Tour, the field this year includes members of the DP World Tour for the second year in a row.

USGA: U.S. GIRLS’ JUNIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Peacock and GOLF Channel are set to present live coverage of the final two days of the 74th U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship from the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Eisenhower Golf Club (Blue Course) in Colorado Springs, the first time a course affiliated with a military institution is hosting a USGA Championship. The 36-hole championship match will be played Saturday.

NBC Sports surrounds the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake with comprehensive live coverage across NBC, USA Network and Peacock beginning tomorrow, July 20 through Sunday, July 23. Pre-championship coverage continues throughout the week with Golf Central Live From The Open on GOLF Channel and Peacock.
In total, NBC Sports will present nearly 50 hours of live championship coverage tomorrow-Sunday – and more than 200 hours of live coverage from St. Andrews including featured groups, featured hole and Open Championship All Access coverage on Peacock.

2023 AMERICAN CENTURY CHAMPIONSHIP
NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2023 American Century Championship resulted in the event’s most-watched final round in nearly 20 years and saw record crowds come out to watch the biggest celebrities in sports and entertainment compete at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Sunday’s Final Round coverage on NBC (2:30-6:08 p.m. ET) averaged 1.4 million viewers to rank as the event’s most-watched Final Round since 2004 (1.6 million viewers). Viewership peaked at more than 2.2 million viewers in the final full quarter hour (5:45-6 p.m. ET) as Steph Curry came from behind with an eagle on the final hole to defeat Mardy Fish.
Three-day coverage across NBC and GOLF Channel averaged 978,000 viewers, making this the most-watched American Century Championship since 2009.
Fans tuned in at home and in-person as well, as the American Century Championship welcome record crowds to Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course last weekend. Across the event, 76,810 fans came out to watch the best and brightest stars compete, setting the event attendance record.
