A total of four Top 10 finishes for players playing Exotics CBX on PGA Tour Champions in The Woodlands, Texas
Four different players finished in the Top 10 playing Tour Edge Exotics CBX golf clubs this past week at the Insperity Invitational, including runner-up finisher Bart Bryant and 5th place finisher Tom Lehman. Both players are members of the 2018 Exotics CBX hybrid staff.
The runner-up finish was the fifth 2nd place finish for a player using Tour Edge golf clubs after only nine events played on the PGA Tour Champions this season.
Bryant moved up to 26th on the money list from 63rd with his 2nd place finish. Lehman jumped up to 14th on the money list from 21st with his 2nd straight Top 5 finish.
“We are a company with 10 wins on the regular PGA TOUR, but this breakneck pace is unprecedented for us,” said Tour Edge President and Master club designer David Glod. “It just goes to show you how good Exotics CBX is for the player needing reduced spin in their metalwoods. We are gaining new players every week on tour and I believe the buzz has finally reached the golfing consumer that there is a new Exotics club that is attracting a cult-like following again due to its extreme performance attributes.”
Finishing in the Top 10 at The Woodlands Country Club was Exotics CBX hybrid staffer Scott Dunlap, who earned his third Top 10 finish of the season playing Exotics. Another Top 10 finish was earned by the #4 ranked player on the official money list and the winner of the Chubb Classic earlier this year with an Exotics CBX fairway wood and hybrid in play.
Five players playing Exotics CBX finished in the Top 25 in Texas this week, including Exotics CBX hybrid staffer Duffy Waldorf, who finished in the Top 25 for the fourth time this year with his Exotics CBX hybrid in play.
Tour Edge had a total of 12 clubs in play this week at the Insperity Invitational, helping the Exotics CBX hybrid to rank 2nd for number of hybrid models in play at the event. A total of 97 Exotics CBX metalwoods have been put into play this season.
After nine events on the 2018 PGA Tour Champions season, Exotics CBX metalwoods have been in play for two wins, five runner-up finishes, 12 Top 5 and 25 Top 10 finishes. Tour Edge is keeping count of their 2018 tour statistics on a scoreboard featured on touredge.com.
About Exotics CBX
Exotics CBX are the only metal woods ever designed to feature a Titanium face, stainless steel body and carbon fiber sole. The Exotics CBX hybrid’s higher CG is located slightly forward in the club head through the use of a carbon fiber in the sole, which is significantly lighter than stainless steel. This helps to increase ball speed and reduce spin, which makes for less dispersion. Tour Edge’s extremely thin Beta-titanium cup-face enlarges the ideal hitting area on the clubs. It is brazed to stainless steel behind the hitting area which allows the face to flex more at impact, while the Speed Ramp sole design provides reduced turf interaction so the club can maintain its speed through the hitting area.
The Tour Edge Exotics CBX fairway woods, Exotics CBX hybrids and Exotics CBX Iron-Woods are currently available at select authorized Tour Edge retailers. To find a Tour Edge retailer near you, call (800) 515-3343 or visit touredge.com.
