PHOENIX – Arizona-based Green Lake Golf (GLG), the industry leader in sustainable golf course redevelopment, is pleased to announce the engagement of Benjamin Tate, land use attorney and Partner at the firm Withey Morris Baugh, as a Strategic Advisor to coordinate all legal efforts related to rezoning, land use entitlements and permitting for the company’s golf course redevelopment projects.

“I’m excited about partnering with Green Lake Golf and representing relevant stakeholders as we collectively seek to kick-start a new era of golf course development,” said Tate. “It’s a special opportunity to help shape what will be a variety of projects which blend recreational, environmental and community impact. I look forward to assisting with the vision and execution on behalf of the company and their clients.”

“Green Lake Golf is at a pivotal point in its evolution,” said Jamie Cook, Co-Founder and Principal of Green Lake Golf. “Ben’s expertise will help ensure that our redevelopment projects not only meet regulatory requirements but also deliver a project that adds long-term value to the community and respects the integrity of the land.”

The appointment comes as GLG embarks on a mission of becoming the leader in sustainable golf course redevelopment. As part of this vision, the engagement of an experienced and highly respected legal advisor was critical. Tate brings more than eight years of experience in zoning law, development entitlements and municipal negotiations, making him an ideal partner in navigating the complex regulatory landscape that underpins projects undertaken by GLG and its clients.

“We’re thrilled to have Ben on board as a Strategic Advisor,” said Jeff Schwinkendorf, Co-Founder and Principal of Green Lake Golf. “His track record navigating land use and zoning issues with professionalism and precision makes him a vital presence as we move forward with our mission.”

As part of his role, Tate will coordinate with local municipalities, planning commissions, legal teams and consultants to ensure all land use processes—including rezoning, use permits, site planning, and entitlements—are managed efficiently and align with the long-term vision for the property as established by GLG and their clients.

At Withey Morris Baugh, Tate has led entitlement strategies for master-planned communities, commercial developments, and public-private partnerships, working closely with developers and civic leaders to achieve balanced, forward-thinking outcomes.
