Sea Pines Resort’s Benji Boyter Named Carolinas PGA Section Golf Merchandiser Of The Year

THE SEA PINES RESORT’S BENJI BOYTER NAMED CAROLINAS PGA SECTION GOLF MERCHANDISER OF THE YEAR

 

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (December 12, 2019) – Benji Boyter, merchandise manager and buyer for The Sea Pines Resort, has been named Merchandiser of the Year (Resort category) by the Carolinas PGA.

Eleven Carolina PGA professionals are selected annually by the Carolinas PGA special awards committee in various categories.

Benji Boyter, merchandise manager for The Sea Pines Resort, named Merchandiser of the Year by the Carolinas PGA.

Boyter has been with The Sea Pines Resort since 2015 and is responsible for selecting and purchasing all merchandise for the golf shops at the Harbour Town and Plantation clubhouses, Sea Pines Racquet Club, and the Surf Shop at the Sea Pines Beach Club.

“Benji has an eye for selecting the finest brands and merchandise for our pro shops and retail outlets,” said Cary Corbitt, Vice President of Sports & Operations, The Sea Pines Resort. “He knows what sells and what our guests, members and property owners will buy, plus his creativity and breadth of high-end resort experience really enhances our retail operation.”

Prior to joining the Resort, Boyter had been the retail manager at The Sanctuary Kiawah Island Golf Resort.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in professional golf management from Clemson University. Additionally, Boyter is a PGA “Class A” member certified in general management, golf operations and retail operations.
