Hamburg. Berenberg, the world’s second oldest bank, extends its golf brand ambassador program with former Masters Champion José María Olazábal
Berenberg and Olazábal have agreed a multi-year partnership, during which the Spanish golf icon will wear the Berenberg name on the front of his cap and take part in the Berenberg Invitational in GlenArbor near New York.
“We are delighted to have won José María Olazábal for our brand ambassador program,” says Hendrik Riehmer, Managing Partner of Berenberg. The exceptional Spanish golfer will now represent Berenberg at international golf tournaments alongside golf icons Gary Player, Bernhard Langer, Tom Watson, Fred Couples and Mark O’Meara. “All our six brand ambassadors are members of the World Golf Hall of Fame,” explains Riehmer.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to represent Berenberg on the PGA Tour Champions. It is an honor to be associated with the second oldest bank in the world and to be part of an ambassador program with some of the most illustrious names in the world of golf” says Olazábal. The Spanish golfer has won 30 professional golf tournaments worldwide, including the Masters twice. Furthermore, Olazábal has competed in seven Ryder Cups and captained the European Team in 2012.
