Haverhill, United Kingdom – Bernhard and Company, the industry leader in fine turf maintenance solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment of Emily Casey as the company’s new Western United States Technical Sales Manager.
Emily brings a strong background in golf course agronomy and turf management, having most recently served as Assistant Superintendent at Seven Canyons Golf Club in Sedona, Arizona. Prior to that, she held multiple positions at Pine Canyon Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona, including Agronomist and 2nd Assistant Superintendent, between April 2021 and August 2022.
In her new role, Emily will be responsible for supporting customers and distributor partners across the western region of the United States. She will focus on ensuring they have the product knowledge, resources, and technical expertise needed to achieve the highest levels of turf quality and plant health.
“I’m so pleased to have joined the Bernhard team,” said Casey. “Grinding is important, but doing it correctly using the right methods, is even more important than just getting the job done. Continuing to enhance great relationships with our distributors is vital to making sure they have the tools and skills they need to succeed and support us across the United States, and I look forward to being a big part of that.”
Steven Nixon, Managing Director of Bernhard and Company, commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome Emily into this key role. Her technical background, passion for turf management, and deep understanding of our customers’ needs make her an exceptional addition to the Bernhard and Company family. She represents the next generation of our commitment to innovation and service.”
Emily first connected with Bernhard and Company earlier this year as part of the 2025 GCSAA Delegation with the Bernhard Academy. The delegation is a unique development initiative that saw her and fellow GCSAA members travel to the United Kingdom to experience the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME), take part in learning sessions at the Bernhard Academy, and visit world-renowned sports venues such as Royal Birkdale Golf Club and Manchester City Football Club.
Her experience during the delegation sparked a strong connection with the company and its people, ultimately inspiring her to join Bernhard and Company in a full-time capacity. “When I left the UK, it felt like I was leaving a new family,” Casey added. “I quickly realised how important it is to have a company like Bernhard for the success of our industry. I’m excited to help explain why our processes and products make such a difference.”
Reflecting on what drew her to Bernhard and Company, Casey concluded: “It was really the people that brought me here.”
