A Tour-driven evolution of the Antidote SB2, pairing high M.O.I. forgiveness with a classic heel-shafted setup.
TINLEY PARK, Ill., — Bettinardi Golf today announced the Antidote Hexperimental #2, a limited-release mallet designed to maximize stability and forgiveness while maintaining the feel of a traditional heel-shafted putter.
While the original Antidote SB2 quickly became a favorite, many players wanted the same confidence-inspiring high M.O.I. profile in a traditional setup that does not offer Simply Balanced/Zero-TorqueTechnology. The Antidote Hexperimental #2 answers that request with a full-body high-MOI mallet engineered for exceptional stability through impact, and long ball-width sightlines down the center insert for a clean look at address. Engineered with one-third toe hang, it’s built for players with a slight to moderate arced stroke looking for a classic mallet.
“We’ve had a wide range of players in our Tour Department, from pros to elite amateurs, fall in love with the Antidote SB2, but zero-torque isn’t for everyone,” said Sam Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. “That’sexactly the gap the Hexperimental #2 was designed to fill.”
Each Hexperimental #2 is precision milled in-house from a three-piece construction featuring a 303 Stainless Steel face and a 6061 Aluminum body and center insert.
Bettinardi’s reengineered F.I.T. Face™ (Feel Impact Technology) milling removes 30% of the face material, delivering a soft, responsive feel at impact. Finished in Black Armor TPT with Distressed Blue accents and a navy anodized center insert, the Hexperimental #2 is paired with a matte black shaft, a Bettinardi Black Hex PU grip in jumbo or standard size, and a matching Hexperimental Antidote Series magnetic mallet headcover.
