Bettinardi Golf, precision milled putters and inventor of one piece technology, is proud to partner with First Tee —Greater Chicago, for a special limited Hive release to support First Tee’s expansion for Chicago youth.
Bettinardi has crafted an exclusive run of preorder-only First Tee — Greater Chicago-branded headcovers to be released in the Hive on December 4, 2020 at 10 am CST. The headcovers are made from premium leather and feature the Chicago flag and skyline with Bettinardi and First Tee logos on each side to honor both organizations’ Chicago heritage.
Nearly all proceeds from this release will be donated to First Tee — Greater Chicago’s Waveland Capital project. Both Bettinardi and First Tee — Greater Chicago are hopeful the release will raise not only funds, but awareness of First Tee’s commitment to building game changers and empowering kids and teens in their personal journeys toward their best selves.
The Waveland Capital project aims to raise funds for the construction of their newest Youth Golf Development center. The organization will transform a 1,250 square feet clubhouse into a learning center and lounge, and develop a state-of-the-art short game area and putting green alongside the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course. The entire facility sits between Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field in the heart of the Northside.
“First Tee — Greater Chicago has always been about helping kids to build their resilience and strength of character through the game of golf,” said Lea Jesse, CEO. “Investing in our own Chicago home base will allow us to serve more kids and expand the opportunities and programming we can provide.”
Assisting with the layout is PGA TOUR player and First Tee — Greater Chicago Honorary Chairman Luke Donald. Donald will help in designing the plan for the outdoor short-game area.
Bettinardi and First Tee — Greater Chicago collaborated at the beginning of the Waveland Capital Project, where Bettinardi made specialty headcovers for their Corporate Challenge in September, an annual fundraising event that brings together golf enthusiasts and executives to raise funds for their mission.
“We are all-in on working with the First Tee to empower youth through the game of golf, and believe this is a great opportunity to give back to our local community, located only 45 minutes from our headquarters in Tinley Park, Illinois.,” Executive Vice President Sam Bettinardi said.
Bettinardi will release the headcovers for preorder this Friday at 10 a.m. CST online in the Hive at Bettinardi.com/pages/hive.
