Billy Casper Golf Club Professionals Honored by PGA of America and LPGA
BCG Northeast region earns multiple 2019 industry awards
Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – the respected and innovative management partner of over 150 golf courses, country clubs and resorts in 29 states – proudly announces Marissa Crow as Northeast LPGA Teacher of the Year, John Dipollina as Connecticut PGA (CTPGA) Youth Player Development Award and Justin Rasmus as New Jersey PGA (NJPGA) Assistant Player of the Year.
The Northeast LPGA Teacher of the Year Award is presented annually to the golf professional who has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments related to teaching golf during the year. Marissa Crow has been the teaching professional at Lyman Orchards Golf Club for seven years and has built one of the largest women’s golf programs in the country, “Golf Fore Women”.
“The true beginner, lapsed golfer, or long-time player can find a home in the Lyman Orchards women’s program,” says Crow. “No matter where you are in life or with your game, we’ll make sure you improve and most importantly, enjoy time spent with friends and family on the course.”
Joining Marissa from Lyman Orchards is John Dipollina winning the CTPGA Youth Player Development Award. John has helped grow the junior golf program at Lyman into one of the largest in New England. He is now eligible to win the national award for youth development as well.
“To have two PGA professionals from our club be recognized as one of the very best in their fields is an unprecedented honor,” says Jason Beffert, general manager of Lyman Orchards Golf Club. “We are so proud of Marissa and John and we look forward to bringing all of our programs to new heights under their guidance.”
Rounding out the northeast honors is Justin Rasmus from Hyatt Hills Golf Complex in Clark, New Jersey. Justin took home the NJPJA Assistant Player of the Year after a career season including 17 top-5 finishes and six wins in 27 New Jersey section events. He credits his success to almost five years spent at Hyatt Hills and the support he receives from his team there.
“Winning this award was a goal I set for myself at the beginning of the year,” says, Rasmus. “I would have never imagined the support I would gain along the way, which made it even more satisfying. I look forward to building upon this honor and seeing where we go.”
Joining Justin on the NJPGA honor roll was Michael Andrusin, the director of instruction for Morris County Golf, and his nomination for the NJPGA Youth Player Development Award.
In 2019, Billy Casper Golf is celebrating its 30th anniversary of building and refining the strongest operating platform in golf course management.
