SAVANNAH, GA – Tournament officials announced today that 17-year-old Blades Brown will make his Korn Ferry Tour debut at the eighth playing of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.
The 2025 edition of Savannah’s official Korn Ferry Tour event is March 31 – April 6 at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club’s acclaimed Deer Creek Course.
“We are thrilled to welcome Blades Brown into the field for this year’s Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club,” said Brit Donahue, tournament director. “Showcasing the rising stars in golf is one of the highlights of tournament week and we are excited that Savannah will forever be part of Blades’ career journey as he makes his maiden Korn Ferry Tour start at the Deer Creek Course.”
Brown, a Nashville native, made his professional debut earlier this year at The American Express in La Quinta, California, and has carded two top-35 finishes on the PGA TOUR in just four starts. In 2023, Brown broke Bobby Jones’ 103-year record as the youngest stroke play medalist in U.S. Amateur history at just 16 years old Brown shot a course-record 64 on day two at Colorado Golf Club in route to his historic victory. In 2024, Brown earned U.S. Junior Amateur medalist honors to join Tiger Woods and Bobby Clampett as the only players in history to medal at both tournaments. Brown was named the 2024 Tennessean High School Sportsperson of the Year.
“I am grateful to both Club Car and the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club for providing me with this opportunity to make my Korn Ferry Tour debut,” said Brown. “The Lowcountry has a great golf culture and I am excited to tee it up at the Deer Creek Course in front of the greater Savannah community.”
