Champions Tour Event Helps Golfers Rediscover “Golf Coast” And Its Legendary Hospitality

Mississippi Gulf Coast Golf Association: Region received an endorsement from David Eger, winner of inaugural Champions Tour Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic champion. “Mississippi’s ‘Golf Coast’ is the kind of place I like, it’s the kind of people I like and it’s got the food I like,” Eger said. “I want to be the first to commit to be here next year.”

Golf Channel: Will combine exclusive early round, live tournament coverage of The Players Championship with “Live From The Players” wraparound news coverage for a total of 35 hours of programming. The network will provide 12 hours of live tournament action in HD (Thursday-Friday, 1-7 p.m. ET). News coverage will begin Tuesday (noon ET) and Wednesday (2 p.m. ET) with pre-tournament news conferences. “Live From … ” also will air two-hour preview shows Tuesday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET.
