Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms, a course located on the site of a former Los Angeles landfill that once used goats to assist in a $60 million renovation, has been named the NGCOA’s 2010 Golf Course of the Year. Also, Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, is the recipient of the Jemsek Award for Golf Course Excellence.
