As an amateur, Mann won the Women’s Western Junior Championship in 1958. She turned professional in 1960 and won 38 times in career, including the Women’s Western Open in 1964. … The Muscular Dystrophy Association and World Golf Tour launch the first-ever Jerry Lewis MDA Open, an online charity golf tournament that benefits the MDA. Golf Channel will expand its PGA Tour programming by adding live, weekend coverage of 12 events to its schedule in 2009. Added to its exclusive, early round coverage on Thursdays and Fridays, Golf Channel will provide weekend, lead-in coverage for top tournaments that will air on CBS. Golf Channel also will have the option to replay weekend coverage and produce a tournament highlight show that can be televised on Mondays in prime time.
