A fitting finale
The fifth – and last – tournament in the BMW Indoor Invitational took place on TrackMan’s new virtual Wentworth course. Wil Besseling showed his class again in a close-run competition with an excellent -7 win. This took his final score to two wins, a second place and a third place.
Jordan Smith came in a very respectable second place with -6, with Damien Perrier hot on his heels in third place with -5 and a nice eagle on the fifth.
“There is no crowd, but you can still feel it – you still want to win … you need to give it all you’ve got. Finish on a high is really cool and doing it at Wentworth makes it even more special”, says Wil Besseling.
Wil Besseling will split the donation of BMW’s $10,000 prize money between Dutch for Kids and a local Dutch coronavirus antibody research facilitiy.
