Boat of Garten, Scotland – Boat of Garten Golf Club has reported a significant increase in buggy revenue after introducing the Pinned Golf Caddie to its fleet this season.
Traditionally operating with a limited number of buggies, Boat of Garten expanded to six vehicles this year and equipped them with the Pinned Golf Caddie. The addition has allowed the club to offer GPS-enabled buggies without the expense of fully integrated GPS systems, creating a new premium option for members and visitors alike.
“The best thing about the Caddie for me is that it has allowed me to try out offering a GPS with a buggy, while not having to spend the extra on the fully integrated buggies,” said the club’s management. “Our members in general don’t want or need a GPS function, so I can keep the cost of buggies for them slightly lower, and offer a premium for visitors, benefiting both.”

The results have been impressive. Between July and mid-September, buggy revenue rose to approximately £5,350, compared to £2,140 during the same period last year. While the strong season and increased visitor play contributed to this growth, the Pinned Golf Caddie provided a clear differentiator from neighbouring clubs.
Beyond buggies, the flexibility of the Caddie has proven valuable for trolley hires as well. By using the same units across both trolleys and buggies, Boat of Garten has been able to maximize utilization and expand premium service offerings without additional hardware costs.
“It’s a good bit of kit and has been well received by members and visitors,” the club confirmed.
