9-hole Himalayas-style putting course opens at Bobby Jones Golf Course
Atlanta, Ga. – Bobby Jones Golf Course, a Bobby Jones Links managed facility and one of the premier public golf courses in the Atlanta area, is excited to announce the opening of the new Dan Yates Putting Course. Part of the $33 million dollar renovation that has taken place at the facility over the past three years, The Dan Yates Putting Course is a unique 9-hole manicured TifEagle Bermudagrass reversible putting course, distinctly designed as a smaller component of Bobby Jones Golf Course and sister putting course to Cupp Links, a five hole par-3 course. Honoring the late Georgia Golf Hall of Fame inductee and Augusta National member, the Dan Yates Putting Course offers a dynamic layout that is as much about enjoyment and entertainment as it is about the challenge.
Located in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta and just steps from the entrance of the new Boone’s restaurant, the Himalayas-style putting course provides amusement for golfers and nongolfers alike, and is one of the only of its kind to be found on a public course in the U.S. The Dan Yates Putting Course takes approximately 30 minutes to play and replicates the authentic look and feel of playing Bobby Jones’ Magnolia and Azalea courses in a fraction of the time, as it slopes and curves up and down mounds. The tees change daily and the tee markers on the greens also serve as drink holders for players.

Additionally, the Dan Yates Putting Course is also home to the new Bobby Jones Golf Course Starter Shack opening in mid-October. This outside facility serves as the gateway to Bobby Jones Golf Course and offers handhelds including sandwiches, kegs of craft beer from the local brewery Fire Maker, including a specialty brew found only at the course, seasonal coffees, and additional non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.

The Dan Yates Putting Course will be available to guests every day from 10:00 a.m. to approximately an hour before sunset, on a first come, first served basis. Guests of all ages are welcome to play the Dan Yates Putting Course; children under the age of 18 play for free; and adults can play 9 holes for $10 per person. The putting course and its sister par-3 course, Cupp Links, are also available to rent for group events and corporate outings.
