Bobby Jones Links promotes service-oriented team members to higher positions and creates new position to further support clients
Atlanta, Ga. – In an effort to continue their commitment to a sustainable service culture and to the growth of their employees, Atlanta-based club management company, Bobby Jones Links, has created a unique position within the club management industry, Vice President of Culture and Coaching.
The new position of Vice President of Culture and Coaching will be dedicated to the training and coaching of club leadership teams and will be filled by Gautam Patankar. Patankar has been an integral part of the Bobby Jones Links team for 15 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations. Through his time in the industry, he has served as the General Manager of a wide variety of high-end private and semi-private clubs, including The Manor Golf and Country Club as well as Woodmont Golf and Country Club, where his passion for service and people made him one of the most influential leaders and team builders at Bobby Jones Links.

Additionally, Bobby Jones Links has promoted Joshua Deal and Emzi Wewers to new positions. Joshua Deal, a PGA member and current Georgia PGA board member, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Deal previously held positions at notable properties including Grayhawk Golf Club, New Haven Country Club, The Manor Golf and Country Club, and more recently Bobby Jones Links’ own Fox Creek Golf Club and Legacy Golf Links. He excels at all aspects of club operations yet is particularly adept at revenue maximization, customer service, membership growth and management, marketing, club software systems and associate development. Deal was named Bobby Jones Links’ Professional of the Year in 2019.
Emzi Wewers has been promoted to the Regional Manager of Operations for the South Carolina region. Prior to being appointed to this position, Wewers held positions such as General Manager, Membership Director, Catering and Food and Beverage Manager at resort and private clubs throughout the Southeast. Wewers is a very talented and highly experienced club operator, having mastered all areas in food and beverage, leadership, accounting, membership sales, club software systems, expense management and coaching. She will maintain her position as the General Manager at Cobblestone Park Golf Club.
