PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – Quade Cummins and Korn Ferry Tour winner Kevin Velo are headed to the PGA TOUR for the first time, while Brian Campbell clinched a return to the TOUR, as all three achieved #TOURBound status following Sunday’s Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse.
Through 21 of this season’s 26 scheduled events, the trio stands No. 8 (Cummins), No. 9 (Velo), and No. 10 (Campbell) on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List with more than 1,070 points. Only 15 players finished with more than 1,070 points on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List.
Cummins is one of five players with six top-10s on the Korn Ferry Tour this season, with the other four having previously earned #TOURBound declarations. Cummins also leads the Tour with 12 top-25s – three more than any other player – in 20 starts this season. The 28-year-old native of Weatherford, Oklahoma recorded podium finishes at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club (T2) and Visit Knoxville Open (T3).
In Cummins’ first two seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour, he finished No. 70 on the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Points List as a rookie, and followed it with a No. 59 finish in 2023. Entering the 2024 season, Cummins had three top-10s and eight top-25s across 48 career starts on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Cummins, who has two made cuts in six career starts on the PGA TOUR and will be a rookie in 2025, turned professional out of University of Oklahoma in 2021. Cummins finished No. 6 in the inaugural PGA TOUR University Class of 2021 after six seasons (2015-21) with the Sooners.
Velo, a 26-year-old San Jose State University alum who plays from San Francisco, California, has three top-10s this season, including a playoff victory over Campbell at the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard this past February.
Velo also recorded consecutive T4 finishes in June at the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open Benefitting KU Wichita Pediatrics. In 19 starts this season, Velo has 15 cuts made.
Velo turned professional out of San Jose State in 2020 and played the 2022 season on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica – which has since merged with PGA TOUR Canada and formed what is now PGA TOUR Americas. Velo won the Termas de Rio Hondo Invitational en route to a No. 4 finish on the Order of Merit, as well as conditional membership for the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour season.
Velo finished No. 116 on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List as a rookie and was relegated to PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry. A T21 finish at Final Stage of Q-School granted Velo guaranteed starts in the first 12 events of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season. Velo’s victory in Bogota, Colombia was the fourth event of the season.
Velo will be a PGA TOUR rookie in 2025 and has yet to make his TOUR debut.
Campbell will return to the TOUR for the first time since the 2016-17 season, when he finished No. 180 in the FedExCup standings as a rookie.
A University of Illinois alum who plays from Irvine, California, Campbell has a trio of top-three finishes this season, highlighted by a playoff loss at the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard and T2 at The Ascendant presented by Blue. Campbell’s other podium finish was a T3 at the 117th Visa Argentina Open presented by Macro.
Campbell, who previously graduated from the Korn Ferry Tour as a rookie in 2016, entered this season with four top-three finishes in 134 career starts on Tour.
Following his rookie season on the PGA TOUR, Campbell returned to the Korn Ferry Tour and posted finishes of No. 75 (2018), No. 30 (2019), and No. 98 (2020-21) in the standings. With only conditional status for the 2022 season, Campbell made just three starts but retained conditional status with a T45 at Final Stage of 2022 Q-School.
Last season, Campbell finished No. 75 on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, earning fully exempt membership for 2024.
There are now 10 players declared #TOURBound for the 2025 PGA TOUR season.
The top 30 players on the final 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2025 season, while the player who finishes No. 1 earns fully exempt membership and exemptions for the 2025 PLAYERS Championship and 2025 U.S. Open.
The finalization of the points list and awarding of the 30 PGA TOUR cards will take place upon conclusion of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, scheduled for October 3-6 at French Lick Golf Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season continues this week with the Magnit Championship, the 22nd of 26 scheduled events and the last event prior to the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
