Leesburg, Va. – Brian Rogish, Director of Instruction at The Golf Club at Lansdowne in Leesburg, Va., has been named to Golf Digest’s list of “Best Young Teachers in America.” Golf Digest’s biennial list of Best Young Teachers (under the age of 40) is included in the January 2021 issue and features 177 award-winning instructors from across the nation. The 2021-2022 list was determined by the publication’s editors with applications submitted by instructors.
Rogish, 36, considers himself a student of the game and has learned from some of the top teachers in the nation, with whom he credits with helping shape his teaching philosophy. Rogish is a Level 2 Certified Trackman Instructor and leads one of the largest junior golf programs in Northern Virginia. His methods are designed to be efficient and to accelerate the results from coaching programs. In addition to his instruction background, he has established himself as a respected club-fitter, with certifications from nearly every manufacturer.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Rogish has been Director of Instruction at The Golf Club at Lansdowne since 2017. Prior to arriving in Leesburg, he worked at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in southwestern Pennsylvania. Since becoming a coach in 2007, Rogish has helped more than 50 junior golfers receive scholarships.
A graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., Rogish was named the Tri-State PGA’s “Teacher of the Year” in 2014 and a Top 40 Instructor in the U.S. under the age of 40 by Golf Digest in 2016.
