COVINGTON, Ga. – Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball-Fitter in Golf, celebrates Chris Gotterup’s victory at the John Deere Classic with the new TOUR B X MindSet featuring VeloSurge technology and 220 MB forged irons. The win, which included a final round 62 and 20-under-par total, marks Gotterup’s third victory of the season and further cements him as a breakout star on Tour.

“This season has been one of the most rewarding of my career, and today’s win at the John Deere Classic further solidifies that,” said Gotterup. “The VeloSurge technology behind the new TOUR B X helps me go farther while staying consistent, and MindSet gives me the focus to feel fully in control. I am feeling and playing my best, and I’m excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for me.”

Gotterup’s exceptional performance was built on a dominating power game off the tee and elite ball-striking, as he led the tournament in Strokes Gained: Driving and Strokes Gained: Total. With five birdies on the front nine and four on the back, his nine-under-par 62 final round was one stroke better than the closest challenger, giving the New Jersey native the fifth win of his young PGA Tour career and making a strong case for appointment to the 2026 U.S. President’s Cup team.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Chris and his performance this weekend,” said Dan Murphy, president of Bridgestone Golf. “He’s not only an incredible talent, but also an incredible person and partner of Bridgestone. We look forward to celebrating many more big wins with Gotterup playing the new TOUR B and our 220 MB forged irons.”

The new TOUR B X golf ball is built with VeloSurge technology, delivering a seamless synergy between the mantle and core. The new material discovery features a denser mantle material pushing the Moment of Inertia (MOI) to bounds never seen in a golf ball for increased ball speed and distance. Chris Gotterup was among Bridgestone’s TOUR staff members to test the golf ball, along with amateur players of varying swing speeds. Over the course of the 2026 season, Gotterup has seen increased ball speed and distance with the new TOUR B X as compared to last season.
