LAKE PARK, FLORIDA — Professional Long Driver Bryce Verplank, a two-time winner this season on the World Long Drive, has joined Team JumboMax®.
Verplank, 25, is currently ranked No. 6 in the World Long Drive rankings. He’s earned two wins in the last two months: WLD Port Rowan (Ontario) in July and WLD West Bountiful (Utah) in August, where he recorded a 445-yard drive.
“Bryce is one of the brightest young stars on the World Long Drive,” said JumboMax President John Mazzanoble. “We’re excited to welcome him to Team JumboMax.”
Verplank is the nephew of five-time PGA Tour winner Scott Verplank, who currently competes on the PGA Tour Champions. Bryce’s athletic accomplishments include being a college pitcher at the University of Texas, where he was an academic scholar and was a part of the 2018 team that earned a trip to the College World Series.
Verplank currently uses JumboMax JMX Zen Lite® (Medium) swing grips.
JMX Zen Lite is the company’s first swing grip with a pro-preferred rubber surface to deliver a firmer feel and enhanced traction. It’s available in sizes from Standard Oversize to X-Large, and it’s 10-15% lighter than standard grips even at its larger sizes.
“The World Long Drive is the ultimate proving grounds to showcase the performance of JumboMax Grips,” Mazzanoble added. “These elite performers are looking for any advantage they can find to improve their distance and accuracy, and it’s no surprise to us that JumboMax now has three of the top-six long drivers in the world using JumboMax.”
